Make an impact with Child Safety Week 2012
It's the last week before Child Safety Week 2012 and we're urging practitioners to use the week to raise families’ awareness, forge partnerships and put child accident prevention on the local agenda.
Child Safety Week is the Child Accident Prevention Trust’s flagship community education campaign. It aims to raise awareness of serious childhood accidents and what families, practitioners and commissioners can do to help prevent them.
Child Safety Week 2012 runs from Monday 18 to Sunday 24 June with the theme ‘Small steps to safety’, emphasising how even small changes in routines and lifestyles can have a major impact on keeping children safe from serious injury. We’re clear that this is not about wrapping kids in cotton wool. But it is about avoiding serious preventable injuries that happen to children and young people every day.
